The archetype of the hero can be found all over the world and at any time. His journey has been told countless times in classical mythologies. And our contemporary myths also repeat the eternal theme of the hero’s journey: Luke Skywalker from Star Wars is certainly the most popular protagonist of this type of narrative.
According to mythology researcher Joseph Campbell, the stages of a hero’s journey follow a typical pattern, in which the hero sets out from a world he knows into the unknown adventure, eventually returning with his experiences.
Typically, the hero first struggles with himself before making the decision to embark on his journey.
